T shirt update

Ok, so surprise surprise the t shirt didn’t get added because it wasn’t good enough (read: too crass). However the good news is that Han is home!

Hi everyone how are you?

You may (or may not) remember a blathering post I made on here about how shitty my router is. Well, my new one arrived the other day and it has been nothing but plain sailing. Fuck you in the face BT. If you are really interested it is a Linksys WAG200G, or in picture form it’s one of these:

Rather exciting as you can see. Good news is that it works. :D

I’ve also got a couple of new toys. Firstly there was the router, but my latest is this really cool freeview usb stick for my computer so I can watch digital telly on it using the miracles of Windows Media Centre. I always wondered what that was for… You might be thinking it’s a silly idea to use slow old USB when i could put a PCI card in but the truth is that i’ve run out of space with my DUAL GRAPHICS CARDS ahehahahaha.

Other big news is that i’m almost totally moved into my new bedrooms above the garage. Cool thing about this is that I get a living room and a bedroom next to eachother so it’s like a mini house but without the kitchen or bathroom. Only down side of it being like a real house is that I get all the moving in rubbish which comes with… well… moving in. I’ve been living amongst unpacked boxes and sleeping on a sofa bed for like 3 weeks or something! Still, it will be worth it in the end. I’ll keep you posted on this super exciting news! :trex:

Last Saturday was George’s 18th birthday and in true Essex lout style we went out on the town and got totally shit faced, especially George. He had found this drink called an Irish Car Bomb on the internet somewhere and decided to try it out. The recipie is as follows:

  1. 1 shot of Irish whisky in a pint glass
  2. top it up almost to the top with Guinness
  3. float a shot of Bailies on the top
  4. Throw up
The whole thing cost about £8 so he won’t be doing that again, it tasted like Guinness milk shake which was cool but the Bailies curdled which is not cool. Whole night lasted till 2am when George was too pissed to drink any more and went home. Good night out, here’s some photographic evidence:

Great.

Miscellaneous news is as follows: I’m still enjoying college, even if I know most of the stuff they have tried to teach me so far. Oh well! Team Fortress 2 is totally kick ass, especially as I can now stay connected for long enough to play (god bless you router). Max is off to uni on Sunday and i’ll miss him, boo hoo :(. Han seems to be having a great time in Africa and should be starting out on her main journey next week. I miss her a lot :huggle:

Love to you all.

:runaway:

Where Have I Come To?

So, it’s been months and months since I last wrote anything on here and I really forgot all about it. While i’ve been away i’ve played WoW, got to level 70 and done some hardcore raiding then I got kicked out of my guild and decided it was a good time to quit. So I have. No longer addicted to the thing i’ve started a mechanic’s course at Colchester Institute which started tonight, however i’ve missed out a lot of stuff in between so I better fill you in first.

I’m still laid up to an extent with the old CFS but I have felt like i’ve been getting better. Although I wasn’t able to complete my Eng Lit A level exam (or even take it) due to anxiety problems, I did get almost full marks on my coursework which i’m really really proud of. This year i’m continuing and doing both exams so I can get one decent A level. Good news is that I already have two Es in Geography and Government and Politics. Shazam! As well as that academic success i’ve started seeing a counsellor about my anxiety issues which seems to be helping but it’s early days yet. I’ll give you another update in 6 months time and tell you then! Another big achievement for me was that this summer I went on holiday without my parents. That might not seem like a big deal to you but last year I barely managed to get to Italy with the family because of the anxiety and worry so this is quite a big deal. I went for a week with Dave and Owen which probably made things easier as they are two of my best friends. As well as the holiday I took a trip to London to meet my Geek Friends, get lashed and stay in a hotel. That went really well apart from the incident I won’t talk about, and like going to Cornwall it was a huge step for me and something i’m proud of achieving.

This summer has also been one where i’ve really thought hard about where i’m going in the future as everyone’s started leaving for uni again, however this time Max is off too and it’s going to be really strange to not have him 15 minutes away after 19 years. Still, I can always spend 4 hours on the train and go see him! Owen is also going to be a lot further out of touch, as he is moving to Florence as part of his Art History degree. I can’t wait to go see him and just thinking that makes me feel good as, like with the holiday, I wouldn’t have even dreamed of making that kind of trip a year ago. One big gap in my life at the moment is Han. This summer we celebrated 2 years together and now she’s gone on a tour of Africa for 3 months. It was pretty sudden but something she really needed to do and i’m so pleased she has finally got away, she’ll also be all fit and tanned when she gets back at Christmas so it’s not all bad! Dave’s not gone anywhere, still living 5 minutes down the road and still trying to get Winston back on the road. He’s got a full time job at a bakery in town which he is so happy with and because of the hours (4am-12pm) it means he’s around in the late afternoons so we can go out and do manly things together. His lady is off to uni this year too so we can mope about together.

This brings me neatly back to where I started. Going into this (school) year I feel a lot more positive than the last one. I feel like there’s something to look forward to and I feel like things are starting to look up. I mean, sometimes I do get a bit down but everyone picks me back up again and it’s hard to stay feeling like that for long. This is a new me.

I’ve also started playing Team Fortress 2, we’ve waiting fucking long enough for the damn thing so i’m SO on the beta!

Birthday and stuff

Saturday (the 17th) was Maxxy P’s 19th birthday and boy was it… cold. It seemed like a great idea to go to the beach and yeah, it was a great idea to go to the beach during the week. However, by the weekend it was shit cold and pretty darn windy. Oh, and Max is the worst person in the world at organising things (11pm the night before, NICE ONES!). That said, everyone there had a great time and here are some photographs to prove it (click for big).

The boys (and men), being ponces and running at the sea. It was very cold.

Max getting sprayed with champagne (cheap Martini stuff actually, but close enough!)

Jodie getting her Poi on.

“Look, no hands!”

George. He is having fun.

Next up is my birthday on the 31st and I expect lots of presents from everybody. After a lot of thought i’ve requested a new 50mm F/1,8 lens for my camera as well as a couple of reflectors to shed some light on the subject. Nice. Hopefully that should give me some better portrait shots for you lot to gawk at.

Much love and Kisses.

Save the Wivenhoe May Fair

Go on, do it.

MAY FAIR IS CANCELLED FOREVER!

News just in: The Wivenhoe May Fair has been cancelled. Permanently. I can’t tell you where I heard this from but it was from someone very senior in the Wivenhoe Council.

Sorry to have to break it to you. I was thinking about having a big hoo-ha on the field that day to show that we aren’t going to go quietly. If you are in a band and interested in playing then please get in touch. Also get in touch if you want to help organise.

that is all.

Starting Over

I used to use this blog Quite a lot and then totally forgot all about it so I’ve decided to start from scratch. I can put most of this absence down to an addiction to World Of Warcraft (i’m level 64 now) but the last few weeks i’ve hardly been playing.

I should probably start with what I’ve been doing… I have been on short holiday breaks, twice. They were really nice and relaxing. I’ve been having English Literature tuition at home which is also nice as it means I should have an A Level by the end of this school year. Woo! That leads me nicely onto my year anniversary of being diagnosed with M.E. which isn’t really anything to celebrate apart from I’ve got a lot better compared to how I was a year ago. For example I can now sleep at night. I’ve seen a dietician and I’ve got a second check-up with this consultant dude on Thursday so hopefully things will go well.

Christmas. I got an iPod to replace poor old Arthur Jr. (RIP). Grandma and Granddad came down for a few days and we were all like “mm, this is fun. merry xmaz” and stuff. New years’ was at Matt’s house and we raved it up big style. January seems pretty hazy for some reason but that probably just means it wasn’t very interesting. Since then I’ve had a trip to Durham with Maxxy Pee to see our good pal Paulie Walnuts and got absolutely twatted 3 nights in a row for very little money at all. This has confirmed my desire to go to uni. Since then I’ve been to a couple of parties and got pissed, nothing near the Durham scale of things but still quite nicely tipsy. One good thing (of many) that came out of our little trip is that Max can now handle a lot more booze, thanks to me pennying most of his drinks.

Han has recently got a job at B&Q so she can afford to buy me things and she is also very happy about it and today she served Jamie from Pimp My Ride UK. He’s the one that looks like a twat with highlights and stuff (No, not that one. He’s Westwood.).

Linkdump: Lots of photos have probably been added to my Deviantart gallery and i’m now part of Facebook as well as good old MySpaz. Also, Teh Blog is still just about running.
